The information we collect
- Booking and enquiry details – your name, phone number, email address and any message you send us when you book an appointment, make an enquiry, or contact us. When you book online or pay a deposit, this is handled through our booking system (see "Sharing your information" below).
- Appointment and treatment records – where relevant, notes we keep to provide your treatment safely (for example patch-test results or preferences). [Remove this line if you don't keep client records.]
- Website usage data – when you allow it, we collect information about how you use our site (pages viewed, device and browser type, and approximate location) through Google Analytics. This is collected in a way that does not directly identify you.
How we use your information and why
- To manage your bookings and provide our services – on the basis of our agreement with you.
- To respond to your enquiries and contact you about your appointments – on the basis of our legitimate interest in running the salon.
- To understand how our website is used and improve it – on the basis of your consent, given through our cookie banner.
We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell it to anyone.
Cookies and Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website so we can improve it. Google Analytics sets cookies only where you have given consent through our cookie banner. Google processes this data on our behalf; you can read how Google handles it in the Google Privacy Policy.
You can accept or reject non-essential cookies at any time using our cookie banner, or manage cookies through your browser settings.
Sharing your information
We only share your information with trusted providers who help us run the business:
- Slick (getslick.com) – our salon booking and management system. It processes your booking, appointment, reminder, deposit and payment details, and any client records we keep, so that we can manage your appointments. - Google – for website analytics, as described in the section above.
We may also disclose information where we are legally required to do so. We never sell your personal data.
How long we keep your information
We keep your information only for as long as we need it to provide our services and meet our legal obligations, after which it is securely deleted.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information, to object to how we use it, and to ask for a copy of it. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details above.
